The oldest artifact I have from my childhood is a pictorial history book of horror films. The cover has been ripped off, not sure where it ended up. The inscription remains, To Ian: Enjoy these creepy ghouls and long leggity monsters.

The second oldest artifact from my childhood is a Classics comic book Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. This I had framed several years ago. Whenever I walk into my writing den, there’s Dr. Jekyll about to drink his poisonous concoction.

Now, this first collection of stories Voices in the Dirt, I would not classify as a collection of horror stories, though it does have touches of horror.
